And should not be able to install a program, however, on this device, it did. But you apparently don’t know the difference between a standard account and a local account.
If Chrome is not being installed for all users on the PC, it can install into the user’s own account. In that case it doesn’t require Administrators permissions to install unless the user wants to make Chrome the default browser. I used to install Chrome this way on my work computer until I was cautioned against it – justifiably, I must admit.
There is a GPO to prevent installing software into the user’s own account but I’m not well enough versed to describe it. When you were doing this testing, did you click on NO button, or the little x in the upper right corner to close this window with providing Administrator equivalent credentials???
In my test, I got to this point, and I just clicked on the little x in the upper right corner to close this window, and the Chrome installer continued and installed Chrome and I was able to browse the web – just like if an Administrator account installed it.
